It’s Monday afternoon on Memorial Day 2008.

As a proud veteran, I cannot describe the respect and appreciation that I feel for those troops and military families who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the defense of our nation. I thank you. America thanks you.

Let us put aside differences and politics for a day - to remember our Soliders, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen who have given their lives to preserve peace, freedom, and our American way of life.
