I was looking for a specific computer-related book that I could not find at the local public library or the Fort Myer library. Amazon.com has the book listed (new) at $37.59 with free shipping.

Alibris has the book (new) listed at $32.92 plus shipping. Looking a bit more, I found that Alibris works with a site called book closeouts to sell publisher overstock (new) books for $12.99 - with the condition note “may have small remainder marks.

For $16.98 plus shipping, I ended up with a new book from Alibris.
